Pollinator Week starts on June 17th, so come to our Bring on the Pollinators Party, to celebrate early in support of pollinator health! This event will include an adaptive chair yoga in the garden meant to naturally encourage us to connect with the energy of nature while leaving us feeling refreshed and restored! All are welcome!!

Pollinators are both important and fascinating. Bees and other pollinators touch our lives every day in ways we may not realize. They are responsible for as much as one third of the food and drinks that we consume and contribute to the production of our clothes. They help define our seasons: The flowering meadows of spring, the berries of summer, the pumpkins we carve for Halloween and the food we eat at Thanksgiving. Basically, pollinators are the unsung heroes responsible for all the finer things in life. As we gather among friends, we will also unite in a collective effort to protect and preserve these crucial pollinators by learning the four crucial steps that all of us can do to conserve pollinators: growing pollinator-friendly flowers, providing nest sites, avoiding pesticides, and spreading the word. The Plendls will lead us through projects that will directly support our new pollinator friends, we will plant pollinator friendly flowers, and we will learn that there’s so much more to these creatures, including bees, butterflies, moths, bats, beetles, and hummingbirds, then we could have ever imagined! Food and drinks brought to us directly by our pollinator friends will be served.
